Spada Codatronca

The Spada Codatronca comes from one of the most interesting and boutique styled auto makers out thereSpada Vetture Sport. The company is based in Italy, and although they have not produced many cars the ones they have made have stood out. The Spada Coatronca is not well known, this is due to various factors, but mainly because production of this car is by order, and from a very small auto-maker with no other claim to fame than the outstanding styling of the car. There have been two variations of this model, the TS and the Maza. The TS started its production in 2008, and the Maza in 2012; both models are still in production.

The Codatronca TS is the first desgin in the Codatronca line, it was inspired by the Alfa Romero TZ. The car utilizes a 7 L Chevrlet LS& V* engine, but with a power increase to an ouput of 630 hp. It goes 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds and has a tope speed of 211 mph. The design of the car is rather stunning and very reminiscent of the old Batmobile. The rear of the car is looks very much like a stealth bomber. There really is not a car in the world like it.

The Codatronca Maza is the supercharged convertible version of the car. It can go 0-60 mph in 3.0 seconds The Desgin of the car is a bit more flat, and the stealth bomber type back is played down a bit, but that does not in the slightest take away from the drama of the car.

These cars are without a doubt in their own class of design and physical existence. There’s nothing else like them. They are truly for the exotic car collector and enthusiast.

Ferrari Daytona

The Ferrari Daytona is one of the most renounced Ferraris that has ever been put in production. The official name is the Ferrari 365 GTB/4, but the unofficial name Daytona is speculated to have been give to the car after its stellar performance in the February 41967 24 Hours of Daytonea with a 330 p3/4, a 330 p4 and a 412, of which it finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd, Finnish. The car was first shown and introduced in 1968 at the Paris Auto Salon, shortly after it went into production of which the production line lasted until 1973 when the mid-engined 365GT Berlinetta Boxer replaced the car.

The Ferrari Daytona’s engine was front-engined, rear-drive car, which was unlike other GT cars during this time, most were mid-engine. The engine was known as the Tipo 251 and was based off of the Colombo V12. The design produced an acceleration for 0-60 in 5.4 seconds. The car has a manual five-speed transmission.

There’s and excepted number for the amount of Daytonas made which is 1,406, for all models. There were two main models, the spyders and berlinettas, there was also a Pininfarina prototype. Now some of the berlinettas have been converted into spyders due to the price boost it gives it.

This Ferrari Daytona is so iconic that its almost impossible to explain. Miami Vice featured a replica built on a Corvette chassis, which later was destroyed on screen due to a law suit Ferrari filed against the company which produced the replica kit. The was was voted to be the top sports car of the 1970s by Sports Car International Magazine and Motor Trend Magazine put it as the number two greatest Ferrari of all time. The car now goes for millions at auction, and has found a place in automotive history which is unshakable.

Maserati Boomerang

The Maserati Boomerang is a concept car of great unintended consequences. The car was unveiled at the Turin auto show in 1971, but it was not until 1972 at the Geniva auto show that the concept car was finished and was functioning. It took the world by storm. The design was so unique and fresh that it set the tone for auto makers across the globe.

The Maserati Boomerang ‘s body design of the car that made it so iconic and set the a trend that would last through the 70’s.  Giorgetto Giugiaro designed the car using nothing but a ruler. He said after its completion and during and interview that the car was “perhaps the most irrational car Italdesign has ever built,” which is highly interesting considering its impact. The result was a design made up sharp futuristic lines with equally as futuristic rims, glass paneled doors and roof, and a windshield that almost completely covered the drivers head.

The Maserati Boomerang ‘s design inspired the original VW Golf, the BMW M1, Delorean DMC 12, Lotus Esprit, just about every Japanese sports car of the time, and so many others it would be impossible to find and list them all. Before this, not such design was conceptualized. The inside was as equally as amazing. It was simple, yet effective, and very minimalistic. The steering wheel is probably the most interesting part, as it is built to encircle the gauges.

The name of the car held true as the Boomerang swung back into play as it appeared multiple times in 1974 car shows, 1980’s in Germany, 1990 at the Bagtelle Concours, at many auctions covered by the media, and recently during a 2014 Louis Vuitton print add feachering model Freja Beha Erichsen.

There really is not a car, let alone a concept car, that had this kind of effect on the design of other cars in the industry. The concept of the design is so recognizable that anyone with limited knowledge could place any of its designs that it inspired in the appropriate decade; that’s how much of an effect this car had.

E-Type

The Jaguar E-Type, AKA the Jaguar XK-e, is a British sports car which are produced between 1961 to 1975. Its a rarely covered car in editorials, yet its class and performance are something that stand out dramatically, not to mention that it became an icon of the 1960’s when it came to exotic sports cars. And in March 2008, the car was ranked first in a The Daily Telegraph online list ins “100 most beautiful cars” of all time. Even Enzo Ferrari called it “The most beautiful car ever made,” after its release.
There were two concept versions, and three production versions of this car.
15422673452_45b920a158_z
The concept versions consisted of the E1A, which if more than anything designed the ideas around the engine that would be used, and the E2A which had and aluminum body and was designed as a racing car.

Series 1 of the E-Type was born in 1961 and lasted until 1968. This version is much more rare and valuable as compared to Series 2. these models had external bonnet latches which required a tool to be used to open them, in 1964 the engine increased sized from 3.8 to 4.2 liters. It kept the same speeds, it just increased torque.

Series 2 was produced from 1968-1971, and introduced design changes, but mostly due to new US Laws. One such changes that worked out majorly as a selling point, were the retrograde step in the lights. There where a lot of other safety features implemented.
Series 3 was from produced from 1971-1975, and had a 5.3 L V12, upgraded brakes and power steering. There are also and automatic transmission option.

The car has now become an icon of both class and history.

McLaren P1

The McLaren P1 is one of the most impressive, technologically advanced supercars on the road right now. The concept car version was displayed at the Paris motor show in 2012. And in October of 2013 they began to deliver the final product. 375 units of the car have been made and only 35 of the track only P1 GTR has been produced. The car has two engines, one mechanical, and the other electrical. The electrical engine is employed when the mechanical on needs slack picked up bc its transferring gears or spooling up its turbos. With both engines the car produces around 900 bhp. The car is so fast the in 2015 Lego picked the McLaren P1 as part of the Speed Champions Series of the world’s fastest cars. the car goes 0-62moh in 2.8 seconds and 0-128 in 6.8, and it blasts through a quarter mile in 9.8 seconds. It almost has a 1/1 ratio of power to weight, the car weighs 1,395 kg and with 900 bhp that gives us 647 bhp/tonne power to weight.

14950396045_eee8b67ce5_z

The car offers options and special design so much to the point where 75 percent of orders have had special requests, bringing up the average price for the car from 1.3 million to about 1.6. By the time the car was offered in The Americas, Asia, and The Middle-east, the car was sold out to the point where there were actual production delays.

The P1 GTR was created to celebrate 20 years after McLaren won the 1995 24 Hour of Le Mans. It goes for about 2.8 Million dollars, and is the most powerful McLaren ever put into production.

This car truly is one of the most impressive machines in production today.

FERRARI 488

The Test drives for the new Ferrari 488 have started and the reviews are pouring in. Just about every review on this car has been extremely positive minus one thing. They stack it up to the 458, which has been considered to be everything that is Ferrari. And as would expected everyone is saying that its not the same car, or that it does not surpass the 458, but I would go so as to speculate that this is to be expected and by the numbers this car seems to have merits of its own worth that separate it from the 458 herd of models. One would suspect that once the spider and other such models start getting released we will without a doubt see more of a deviation from the 458 and thus have less reasons to compare the 488 to the 458 and more reasons to appreciate it for its own value.

5383274019_3514db75eb_z

The Ferrari 488 is a mid-engine Ferrari 154 family v8, which takes its visual inspiration and chassis from the 458. It produces 660hp, it goes 0-60 in 3.0 sec, and its top speed is over 205 m/h. The car has 50 percent more downforce that the 458. And although the inside is very similar to the 458, the transmission system, and slip differential are cutting edge as Ferrari has claimed are designed from what they’ve learned from making F1 cars and the FXX.

8254367277_452cb214cb_z
This car is nothing short of impressive, and expectations will be satisfied once the separation between the 458 and 488 occurs.

Lauda and hunt

The story of Nikki Lauda and James Hunt is the story of F1. Although F1 racing had been going on for some time, these two for one season made F1 the caliber of sport that it would become. The F1 season of 1976 saw some of the most explosive and amazing racing competition ever seen. Both racers Niki Lauda and James Hunt had been racing professionally for years, and even have raced to gather, but this particular year was a fight that would go down in history as something that has never been seen before or after.

Formula One World Championship
By the time the season had gotten to the German Grand Prix Lauda Had been ahead by double points, and Hunt was furiously fighting for every point he could possibly get just to keep up. The old Nurburgring was considered to be the most dangerous racing course in the world, and rightfully so, for there had been many fatalities on this track. It was so bad that it really is a mystery that no one had ever taken the course from the season list. But on August 1, 1976 Niki Lauda complained about the conditions of the wet course after a rain. The race was still set to be on, and many racers ended up either dropping out or crashed; included in those who crashed was Niki Lauda who almost died and was burnt severally.
laudahunt_2650564b

After the accident Hunt had a shot to win, and Niki Lauda looked like he was not going to race the whole season. Hunt started to catch up, and Niki subsequently returned for few races with almost no effect, no effect except the admiration of the fans. Hunt went on to win the Season coming 3rd on the last race making him just one point ahead of Niki. Hunt was beside himself.

The Season has gone down in history as the most volatile drama driven F1 season of all time. It has been a very important in the construction of the rules of F1 cars, the courses, and was very responsible in the amassment of fans for not only that particular season, but onward.

LAMBORGHINI URUS

The Lamborghini Urus is a concept SUV designed by Lamborghini and unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show. The name is the name given to wild ancestors of domestic cattle, also known as aurochs. The name was also given to the project for the Lamborghini Estoque, so its very possible that the name will change. This would not be the first SUV in which Lamborghini put into production. The LM002 was produced between 1986 and 1993, and was nicknamed the Rambo Lambo. The Urus is suppose to go into production in 2018. It is suppose to be lighter than most other SUVs, due to all the carbon fiber parts.
2014-lamborghini-urus13

It is going to be based of the Audi q7, and the Porsche Cayenne due to Audi owning part of the company. It will most likely have 584 bhp with a v10 Audi engine which includes an electric motor with plugin capabilities. Everything is still uncertain about what the final product will look like, but the buzz in the car world about this car is strong with hopes that the project will not be canceled and that we’ll see this car on the road. It has been confirmed for production and is estimated 3,000 per year.

SCHUMACHER

Michael Schumacher is probably the most interesting F1 driver in that his career reflects both a stellar record and slightly unorthodox one. He was born January 3, 1969 in Hurth, West Germany. He began his racing career at the age of four, when his parents gave him a kart and signed him up to the Kerpen-Horrem karting club. His kart blew its engine and his parents were unable to buy him a new one, a local business man step in and sponsored the boy. To race he needed a Karting license, but laws in Germany required him to be 14, he got his in Luxembourg at the age of 12, and raced in Germany. In 1983 he gained his German license and a year after won the German Junior Kart Championship. He continued to win, and became a mechanic in 1988, when he also made his first steps to race in Formula Ford and Formula Konig; he won the konig. In 1989 Schumacher signed with Willi Weber’s Formula Three team. He won the title in 1990. He then made an unusual move to the Mercedes junior racing program in the World Sports-prototype Championship. This was advised to him by Willi Weber because it would be the route with the most pressure. Schumacher finished 5th overall even though he only raced in 3 out of the total 9 races. This is just really ridiculous to do, and showcased his talent without question.

In 1991 Schumacher started his F1 Career. And in 1996 he joined Ferrari where compile the most impressive pieces of his career. And in 2000-2004 he won more races and championship titles than anyone in history.

Michael Schumacher was involved in a skiing accident in December of 2013, where he sustained a head injury; he has since hospitalization not recovered completely, as he is having memory and speaking issues.

Michael Schumacher is THE Seven Time World Champion, with more championship wins than anyone in history. He is the only Driver in history to finish in the top 3 in every F1 season that he participated in.
